What is your favourite part of your Oltco role?
I love seeing the completed project. It’s really special getting to see the improvement and transformation of a space along with happy customers. It really is such a satisfying feeling.
Oltco’s range is named after beaches in Cornwall, where is your favourite beach?
Yorkshire has such a diverse coastline, with some breathtaking and instantly instragrammable landscapes.
However, my personal favourite would be Runswick Bay. It’s situated near an historical fishing town and has always been a place where I enjoy nice walks along the beach with my children, fossil hunting and exploring the amazing rock pools.
It also has some great property, combining the past with today’s modern living.
What is your favourite colour blend from the Oltco range?
With such varying architectural styles, I think that the property dictates what is most suited to the character and its surroundings.
I really like Celtic Sea for a crisp, modern look. I also like Fistral which I feel gives a classic, stately feel.
Describe yourself in three words.
Hardworking, honest and reliable.
If you were a superhero what would your super power be?
My super power would be resilience as I am always persevering to achieve the best possible outcome in all that I do.
What is your hidden party trick or talent?
I am still trying to improve upon my running talent. I have competed in lots of distance running events, from marathons to 10k runs. 2020 began with me trying to compete in as many runs as I could, however the pandemic has prevented that from happening.
Not to be deterred, I decided to run 100 x 10km runs in a year. At the moment I have exceeded that goal, and am now approaching 170! I am hoping to finish 200 or more 10km runs before 2021, which is the equivalent of running from Newquay to Aberdeen… and back!
What is your greatest achievement?
My family are my greatest achievement. Bringing my gorgeous 12 year old daughter and my brilliant 8 year old son into the world, alongside my wife, Sandra, has been so special.
What is your favourite thing about the area?
I love how diverse the landscapes are, from our cities to our dales, to the historic Fountains Abbey and the York city walls, even the spa waters of Harrogate. All of these places are amazing.
It’s impossible for me to name just one, but some of my favourite things are Wensleydale Cheese, Yorkshire tea and Black Sheep Ale!
