If you’ve been following the Oltco journey across social media, you may have noticed that we recently launched our 13th franchise in Upminster & Romford. All of our Oltco teams across the UK are led by driven, passionate and hard-working people so we knew, when we met Richard, that he would be the ideal person to lead Oltco across Upminster & Romford.
Richard’s previous experience in the hospitality sector ensures that he has what it takes to deliver high quality resin installations and excellent customer service across Upminster, Romford and the surrounding areas.
Read on to find out a little more about Richard, his greatest achievements, and what he likes the most about his Oltco role…
What is your favourite part about your Oltco role?
My previous experience has always been working in fast-paced environments with long hours and not much time to spend with my family. Oltco provides me with the perfect opportunity to create a great work life balance so that I have more flexibility and can spend more time with my family, something that is really important to me.
I am also passionate about giving back to my local community and to know that this ethos is also shared by Oltco is great. I now have more time to be present, and make a difference, in my local community because of my new role with Oltco.
Some of Oltco’s range is named after beaches in Cornwall, where is your favourite beach?
Brancaster beach in North Norfolk has to be my favourite. I spent many days there in both summer and winter with friends and family over the years.
Brancaster beach also holds a special place in my heart as we held a christening party there for my son, Bertie. Our day was spent with family and close friends on the beach playing cricket and enjoying delicious barbecues.
Describe yourself in three words?
Calm, humble and dedicated.
What is your party trick or hidden talent?
This is a tough one as it’s more of a practical talent. I have a really good mental ability with numbers.
What is your greatest achievement?
Outside of my family and children, it has to be diving with bull sharks. It was a great, adrenaline-pumping experience and one that I will certainly never forget.
Your franchise covers Upminster, what is your favourite thing about the area?
Upminster is perfectly situated as it takes around 20 minutes to get to the city and around 10 minutes to the countryside so offers the perfect balance. It’s also not far from Norfolk so we can also access the Norfolk coastline easily too.
