Last month, we were super excited to launch our 12th Oltco franchise in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. Every Oltco area is led by teams of enthusiastic and dedicated people which is why Oltco is proud to introduce Rob Wilson, the man behind Oltco Bournemouth.
Rob is incredibly passionate about delivering high quality results and customer service and we are confident that he is going to do a great job at representing Oltco across Dorset.
Read on to find out more about Rob Wilson, including his plans for Oltco Bournemouth and his favourite beach…
What is your favourite part about your Oltco role?
My favourite part of my role has to be the focus on relationships and the fact that people are at the heart of everything. In my experience so much of business is about the product. The product does matter but people matter more, and my passion lies with making friends not just customers.
However, I cannot let this question pass without adding how much fun it is to lay the resin bound. The joy that comes after transforming an outdoor space is something special, especially when it is done using Recycle Bound. Knowing you are using plastic that may otherwise end up in the ocean is a great feeling and gives me a real buzz.
Some of Oltco’s range is named after beaches in Cornwall, where is your favourite beach?
It just so happens that I used to holiday in Cornwall so I am biased toward the area. My favourite beach is between Constantine Bay Beach (near Padstow) or Bournemouth Beach which is just a two minute walk from my home. I am looking forward to a colour option being named after Constantine one day, especially if it is a light sandy looking colour to reflect the real beach feel that Tranquil bay has to offer!
Describe yourself in three words?
Nothing is impossible!
What is your party trick or hidden talent?
If you spend enough time with me you will eventually spot me wiggling my ears at you when I am in a silly mood, but you have to look hard or you may miss it. In fact, only 5 out of 10 people spot it!
What is your greatest achievement?
After graduating from Bournemouth University, I bought a 25-year-old Toyota Landcruiser 4x4 and drove from London to Cape Town, through 27 countries and over 44,000 kilometres in eight months. I went right through the middle of the Arab Spring. This, along with my marriage, I would note as my greatest achievements.
Your franchise covers Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole, what is your favourite thing about the area?
I love the passion that people have for the area, it is an extremely popular area for domestic tourism but the local people also have so much pride in the area. So many people in the community do their part to keep it special, whether it be volunteering for beach cleans or Coastguard watch. I am excited to do my part in providing stunning resin bound driveways, pathways and patios to help keep the standard of appearance across the area as premium as possible so that we can all maintain pride in the beauty of the area in which we live.
