Here at Oltco, we love to give back to our local community who have given us invaluable support as a growing company over the past 15 years. More specifically, we wanted to give back by creating a competition whereby one winner would receive a new resin bound surface free of charge as our way of saying thank you.
This competition was launched on Facebook with entrants leaving a comment on our post to be in with a chance of winning. As a team, we selected the winner and excitedly prepared to install this thoroughly deserved new resin bound surface.
As the competition came to a close, Michelle Robinson was named our winner. It was definitely hard to choose with so many brilliant entries, but Michelle’s entry really stood out to us all.
Michelle’s story is incredibly inspiring and we cannot think of anyone more deserving of this prize. Michelle’s young son suffers from Prader-Willi syndrome, a rare genetic condition that causes a wide range of physical symptoms, learning difficulties and behavioural problems. As a result, he is very weak on his feet. Michelle hoped to create a safer pathway to their house, something we are delighted to have helped with.
It was very rewarding to provide Michelle and her son with a safe outdoor space. We truly appreciate how much this means to them both and we couldn’t be prouder to have made life a little easier for Michelle’s son.
Discussing her new outdoor space, Michelle says: “We want to thank you all for our beautiful new pathway. Everyone has been amazing and so friendly, it really has helped to make our home safer. My son’s Prader-Willi syndrome causes him lots of problems with his muscles, he’s had numerous operations on his feet and hips, so he is very unsteady on his feet. This pathway was previously very slippery, but it’s now safe and looks amazing. We can’t thank you all enough.”
A big well done to the team for doing such an excellent job. At Oltco we are passionate about every project and hope to always exceed expectations, this is definitely a job which will remain close to our hearts.
