Oltco Driveway Solutions Hemel Hempstead & St Albans

In 2019, Oltco developed the world’s first sustainable resin bound driveway solution made utilising a mix of stone and aggregate as well as waste plastic such as straws, drink bottles and food packaging. Every square metre of Recycle Bound consists of the equivalent of 3,000 plastic straws.

Since its inception, Oltco has recycled the equivalent of over 150 million plastic straws in Recycle Bound transformations across the UK, with Oltco Hemel Hempstead & St Albans playing a key part in this success.

Alongside Recycle Bound, Oltco offers Recycle Base, a ground reinforcement system which is made utilising low-grade plastic, including ocean waste plastic.

A perfect patio transformation by the Oltco team

Oltco Gloucester installed a 72m2 resin bound patio and pathway in the blend Fistral for clients, Mr and Mrs Bowden. Oltco removed the old slabs and decided to recycle these by giving to a local family who were in need of them. Mr and Mrs Bowden were after a natural finish to complement their home and decided on Oltco’s Fistral blend. The couple were so impressed with the finished look of the patio that they decided that they would like the side path to match.

Another driveway made using recycled plastic

Oltco installed 136m2 of a Recycle Bound surface in the blend ‘Kernow Granite’ for new clients Mr and Mrs Kerwin. The customer was looking to create an even surface that looked modern than the previous surface.

Oltco installed an 86m2 Recycle Bound driveway for new client, Mr Malindrinos. This was the world's first domestic resin bound installation using Recycle Bound. This hard-wearing solution used the equivalent of 258,000 plastic straws in its installation.
