Client: Mr & Mrs Vernon
Project: 15m2 Resin Bound Pathway
Location: Colchester
OVERVIEW
Oltco Colchester installed a 15m2 Resin Bound pathway in Oltco’s unique blend, Tinners, for local customers Mr & Mrs Vernon. The couple now have a solid, anti-slip resin bound surface that safely provides access to the bottom of their garden all year round.
THE BRIEF
For Mr & Mrs Vernon, it was integral that the new pathway had anti-slip properties to reduce slips and falls, something the existing concrete pathway did not provide.
The old pathway was filled with multiple cracks as well as a step which caused trip hazards and was also too narrow for Mr & Mrs Vernon to safely access the bottom of their garden, particularly in wet or icy weather.
OUR SOLUTION
With safety at the forefront of the couple’s requirements, Oltco’s resin bound products provided the perfect solution. With the attitude to go above and beyond being something that Oltco Colchester prides itself on, the team removed the existing pathway and extended the area, providing a pathway wide enough for Mrs Vernon to safely use with her walking frame.
In addition to this, the existing step was removed and replaced with a walking frame friendly slope, removing another potential trip hazard and adding another element of safety to the garden.
The couple wanted to ensure that the new surface was not only practical but also looked fantastic. Therefore, Oltco Colchester redesigned the pathway and recommended the blend Tinners to add a pop of colour to the area that the existing concrete did not.
Oltco Colchester installed a decorative block edge, allowing the resin bound solution to finish flush to the edging and provide a flawless result.
CLIENT FEEDBACK
“We are delighted with the new resin bound pathway. I was so pleased that Liam was able to change the step into a lovely slope. I never thought it possible.
It was a pleasure to have Liam and his team working in the garden. They were all so cheerful even working in the pouring rain.”
