Making a Difference with Kindness

Kindness helps make the world go round… and today, as part of Random Act of Kindness Day, is the perfect time to show goodwill and generosity. From buying someone a bunch of flowers to thanking someone for all of their hard work, it is time to share compassion across our communities.

Here at Oltco, our ethos is to ‘feel good about the work that we do and the decisions that we make’ which is why we are passionate about giving back to our local communities.

We have loved seeing the incredibly positive impact our franchisees have made through kindness and we are so proud to see them giving back.

Today, to celebrate Random Act of Kindness day 2023, we wanted to share an awesome act of kindness from our franchisees at Oltco Hemel Hempstead and Oltco Milton Keynes.

Random Act of Kindness

Andy Baxter and Michael Maher who head up Oltco Milton Keynes and Oltco Hemel Hempstead donated a sum of money to their local church.

The local church has created a warm space for anyone who cannot afford to heat their home alongside free food and drinks. The compassion and kindness of the church inspired Andy and Michael to give back and support their local community.

The integral service that the church provides is not cheap and so Andy and Michael’s donation was used to help pay for the supplies needed to keep its doors open to those that need it most.

The church has since sent Andy and Michael a letter with their gratitude and appreciation as it has helped them to extend the project and keep it going for as long as possible.

With the cost of living crisis in the UK right now we are so proud of these guys and we are honoured to have them as part of our team here at Oltco.

A little kindness really does go a long way.
