The porous nature of the materials used in resin bound solutions means that water drains away easily and quickly, unlike other outdoor flooring options (such as wooden decking). This minimises excess moisture which could become a slip hazard.

Plus, Oltco’s anti-slip technology provides homeowners with the added benefit of heightened safety in wet or icy weather. Aluminium Oxide can be included in the blend to increase slip resistance based on a customer’s specific requirements.

Both resin bound and Recycle Bound offer an extremely low maintenance option for outside areas. Oltco’s products reduce weeds in the garden and the resin is easy to clean. The build-up of dirt, grime and moss can be removed using a stiff brush and a hose.

Once your resin bound transformation has been completed, the team will send you an aftercare package with all of the information on how to care for your resin bound or Recycle Bound installation.

Yes, resin bound and Recycle Bound surfaces are extremely strong and durable and can take all traffic including heavy vehicles such as buses and lorries.

Recycle Bound has a higher tensile strength and can hold more weight. It is the strongest system Oltco has ever tested as it is able to resist up to 400 tonnes.

Yes, because Oltco’s resin bound solutions are laid by hand we are able to carefully cut out, fill and finish any areas which need to be repaired. Any restoration work will be completely level, however as we use natural aggregates the repaired area may have a slightly different colour.

No. Unlike other impermeable solutions (such as some block paving and flagstones), homeowners do not need to seek additional planning permission to install a new resin bound or Recycle Bound driveway.

The porous properties of Oltco’s resin bound and Recycle Bound solutions mean that they are compliant with SUDS (Sustainable Urban Drainage System) legislation. This legislation was introduced in order to prevent excess water build up and potential flooding scenarios in built up areas which have limited drainage. Oltco’s resin bound products offer an alternative and reliable solution.

In order for us to book you a free site visit we need to know some details about the project you have in mind. If you give us a call with your measurements, we will be able to provide you with an estimate of cost and then book you in for a free site visit with your local installer.

This varies depending on the traffic. For pedestrian traffic we recommend 16-24 hours. For vehicular traffic and heavy traffic we recommend at least 48 hours to ensure the surface is fully cured.

All of our domestic installations come with an up to 20 year guarantee, however the resin technology suggests it will last in excess of 25 years. An Oltco resin bound and Recycle Bound surface is fully guaranteed for up to 20 years against loose stone, cracking, oil damage, UV degradation, colour change, frost damage and workmanship. This guarantee is not transferable.

For commercial projects, both resin bound and Recycle Bound have a guarantee of up to 10 years.

Oltco’s simple and straight forward resin bound solutions can often be installed within a day (depending on the size of the project). Where additional groundwork is not required, the product can be laid directly on top of existing surfaces – just like icing a cake!

Unless stated otherwise, the materials will be delivered a few days prior to your installation. However, in some situations the materials will arrive at the property on the day of the installation with the Oltco team.

You will probably not need to be at home to take the delivery, but you will need to ensure that there is space for the materials to be delivered.

No, Recycle Bound is not more expensive as we are encouraging people to choose the more sustainable option when it comes to your new surface.

No, all colours are charged at the same rate.

We would recommend a solid and stable base. The makeup we use for a permeable base is 175mm compact hard-core followed by permeable concrete tarmac.

Recycle Base, our sustainable ground reinforcement system, is the perfect base to go alongside your Recycle Bound driveway. It is stronger than traditional systems, fully permeable and is made up of low-grade plastic waste, including ocean plastic that would otherwise be incinerated.

This varies from project to project. The type of aggregate and application used can affect the depth of installation, however it typically sits between 15-18mm for pathways and 18-20mm for driveways.

Oltco can price up the project in full, even if you need additional groundwork. We can organise a separate groundworks company to do the work and this can be included in our price.

Recycle Base is a ground reinforcement system that utilises stone and low-grade plastic, including ocean waste plastic.

The recycled plastic is bound with a cementitious aggregate into a plastic grid system. The grid itself is made using 100% recycled plastic and has a load bearing capability of up to 800 tonnes per square metre.

At the end of its life the old plastic grid can be recycled at a local recycling centre.

The cost per square metre varies depending on several factors, such as the size of the job and what the existing surface is. As a guide our price ranges from £78-£105 per m2 excluding groundworks.

Recycle Bound is made from a mixture of stone and waste plastic already in circulation including plastic straws, drink bottles and food packaging. The waste plastic that is used in Recycle Bound is obtained from a recycling point and each square metre utilises the equivalent of 3,000 plastic straws.

Oltco’s resin bound solutions are made from a blend of high quality aggregates coated with clear UV-stable polyurethane resin. The aggregate is finished to a smooth, porous surface which minimises puddles, loose stones and chippings.

Our team will arrive at your property before 10am to start work. If we will be arriving later than that, a member of our Office Team will be in touch to let you know.

Your Oltco guarantee and aftercare will be sent to you in the post once we receive full payment. You can then register your guarantee online.

Made utilising a mixture of natural stone and resin as well as waste plastic that is already in circulation (including straws, plastic drink bottles and plastic food packaging) from a plastic recycling point, each square metre of Recycle Bound consists of the equivalent of 3,000 plastic straws.

Recycle Base comes with a whole range of benefits including: Less excavation and less time to excavate, it can be laid during all weather conditions, it is a fully permeable load bearing system and it comes with a 20 year guarantee.
