Oltco installed 525m² of external resin bound pathways, a bridge inside the hotel’s spa area as well as infills on the roof for one of Newquay’s iconic landmarks, The Headland Hotel.
The client was looking for a solution which would not only look aesthetically pleasing but also one that would be able to withstand a high footfall of visitors and guests and one that would require low maintenance.
Situated atop the cliffs of Fistral, The Headland Hotel boasts breathtaking views of Fistral beach and therefore the client wanted pathways that would complement and match its stunning surroundings.
Oltco’s premium resin bound solution was the perfect product as it is incredibly hard-wearing and easy to maintain. In addition, it is a permeable solution and features innovative anti-slip technology which is ideal for the internal bridge that runs over the spa’s swimming pool, ensuring that guests are safe when entering and exiting the pool.
Oltco was able to complement the surrounding area perfectly with its aptly named ‘Fistral’ blend, which captures the colour and shade of the nearby beach. This natural blend also ties in with the hotel’s traditional and historic architecture.
